about shampooch

Hello and welcome to my Pooch Parlour! A dream of mine for a very long time, brought to life in partnership with my very clever hubby! Our combined vision has resulted in a tranquil, yet on point insta worthy salon that I would want my Pooch not only to be groomed in, but to be seen in! Get the socials ready!

Having trained under Ms Eve Somers LCGI, ICMG, GMG between 2022-23 I achieved qualifications in City & Guilds Levels 2 and 3. My training centred around a no restraint ethos. This experience is much more relaxing for your dog than being tied up with no freedom to express how they are feeling. I have learnt to work with your dog and find their own personal preferences during the grooming process. This helps aleviate their fear and many dogs that usually hate the groomers soon come to realise that lots of cuddles and comfort breaks along the way makes the whole experience less scary! Working in a busy salon and academy for the past 18 months has taught me so much about commercial dog grooming and techniques. I now work on a 1-2-1 basis ensuring your pooch is pampered in a calm and quiet envirnoment with no additonal stressors and I can put my experience of canine anatomy, behaviour, psycology, handling and breed standards to work.

At the grand old age of 40, I am lucky enough to be persuing my dream, and trusted enough to pamper your pooches!
